This is an odd story, which is likely totally true. If it is, it's a lapse of Judgement for Apple:

The surviving members of The Beatles are about to sue Apple Computers over the iPod, iTunes and Apple Music.
Several years ago Apple Computers paid the Beatles a whopping $48 million for copyright infringement. Why?
The Beatles record label was called "Apple Records". Apparently Apple Computers signed an agreement with the Beatles' Apple Records that they would never ever ever have a company called Apple Music and that they would never ever ever go into the music business. But when Steve Jobs launched the iPod and all its ancillary products.......
It seems the lawsuit is imminent and the only remaining question is "which jurisdiction it falls in - the U.S. or the U.K?"

The Beatles' songs are just about the only ones not carried on the iTunes service. Now you know why.
