Crap.

The situation this morning:
CNN claim Bush 254, Kerry 252.
BBC claim Bush 254, Kerry 252.
CBC Canada claim Bush 254, Kerry 252.

ABC News claim Bush 254, Kerry 242.
CBS News claim Bush 254, Kerry 242.
FauxNews claim Bush 269, Kerry 242.
MSNBC claim Bush 269, Kerry 238.

FauxNews and MSNBC have the weirdest figures because they claim Ohio has gone to Bush, when in fact Ohio hasn't been counted yet. But then FauxNews are the ones who bollocksed it all up for everyone last time.

Bush's chief of staff Andrew Card has claimed victory this morning. After all, there's no point in waiting for actual votes to be counted. That would be a democracy.

Essentially it's come down to Ohio who now have 11 days to count their provisional ballots. Until that's done, the race is still wide open. Because if Kerry gets Ohio, he's won.

Meanwhile, the nation has proven itself to be a nation of homophobes with all 11 states with same-sex marriage bans on the cards having those amendments passed. Including Utah :(

At about 9:30 our time, Kerry called Bush to concede.
So that's it. It's happened! The nightmare scenario. We'll be at war within months - Iran, Syria or North Korea? There'll be another huge terrorist attack, interest rates and unemployment are going to soar. Big business is going to get lucrative tax deals from Bush at the expense of us - the taxpayers, personal taxes are going to go through the roof, gas prices will skyrocket.

What's wrong with you people? Can't you see what Bush has done to your country?

Observers credit Bush's success to Americans' fears of more terrorist attacks. Well duh. When you run a campaign based on fear, people will be afraid.

4 more years of this smug git.

This is a truly terrible omen. If Bush has managed to sway the popular vote by fear tactics alone then America really is a scared nation. To not be able to see through the lies, the deceit, the horrendous debt, job losses, unemployment - to be blinded by fear enough to vote Bush back in...?

The other interesting thing is that the "numbers" managed to vote Tom Daschle out of office. Remember the senator 'someone' tried to kill off with government Ames-strain weaponised anthrax? I wonder what he knows that is so dangerous?

The news organizations have promised to look into why their exit polls showed an initial surge for John Kerry, but then blamed bloggers for spreading news that gave a misleading view of the presidential race. The first wave showed Kerry with a lead of three percentage points in Florida and four points in Ohio -- both battleground states now won by "President" Bush when the votes were actually "counted". Hmm. Polls showed Kerry in the lead, then mysteriously Bush won. Hmmm. Wonder how that could possibly have happened. Vote rigging? Diebold machines? Voter intimidation? Oh the choices are nearly endless.
