I love the 80's 3D

VH1 have hit paydirt as far as I'm concerned. They're on their third "I love the 80's" series. It's spurred me to put Winamp on "random" and let it loose on the 4.6Gb of 80's music I have lingering on my hard drive.

♫Hope I live to tell the secrets I have learned
'Till then it will burn inside of me....♫

Of course from my perspective, you can't beat Frankie Goes To Hollywood.
Sadly though, Frankie Says....No More. :-(

Hi Chris! My name is Shari, and I live in California. (Please feel free to visit my blog). I found yours from the random "next blog" link here on Blogspot. As I do whenever I run into another 80s lover, I just had to comment! :)

The 80s was the decade I came of age, so there's no way it could NOT hold the most emotional and memorable significance for me. My favorite thing about it was, of course, the music! And I agree with you about VH1 -- they're really the only channel I've found where I can indulge my nostalgia for this "totally rad" decade. ;)

Your Blogspot profile doesn't show your age, and I can't tell from your photo, but based on your blog (which I admittedly haven't read much of yet), I'm assuming you're somewhere between your mid-30s and very early 40s. Am I right? Or at least close? *chuckle*

Here's a somewhat obscure 80s song quote for you. It's from a band that some folks mistakenly call a "one-hit wonder", but they were FAR from it! The song I'm quoting is NOT the one they had their biggest hit with, hence my calling it obscure....

The shining eye will never cry
The beating heart will never die
The house on fire holds no shame
I will be coming home again
